Simulation of Linear Non-Hermitian Boundary-Value Problems with Quantum Singular-Value Transformation

چکیده
We propose a quantum algorithm for simulating dissipative waves in inhomogeneous linear media as boundary-value problem. Using the so-called singular value transformation (QSVT), we construct circuit that models propagation of electromagnetic one-dimensional system with outgoing boundary conditions. The corresponding measurement procedure is also discussed. Limitations QSVT are identified connection large condition numbers dispersion matrices exhibit at weak dissipation.

Boundary Value Problems with Singular Boundary Conditions
Singular boundary conditions are formulated for non-selfadjoint Sturm-Liouville operators with singularities and turning points. For boundary value problems with singular boundary conditions properties of the spectrum are studied and the completeness of the system of root functions is proved.
متن کاملSolutions for some non-linear fractional differential equations with boundary value problems
In recent years, X.J.Xu [1] has been proved some results on mixed monotone operators. Following the paper of X.J.Xu, we study the existence and uniqueness of the positive solutions for non-linear differential equations with boundary value problems.
متن کاملApplying Legendre Wavelet Method with Regularization for a Class of Singular Boundary Value Problems
In this paper Legendre wavelet bases have been used for finding approximate solutions to singular boundary value problems arising in physiology. When the number of basis functions are increased the algebraic system of equations would be ill-conditioned (because of the singularity), to overcome this for large $M$, we use some kind of Tikhonov regularization. Examples from applied sciences are pr...
متن کاملSolutions of Nonlinear Singular Boundary Value Problems
We study the existence of solutions to a class of problems u + f(t, u) = 0, u(0) = u(1) = 0, where f(t, ·) is allowed to be singular at t = 0, t = 1.

where skm are real numbers, pk0(t) ∈ C2[a,b], p00(t)p20(t) = 0, p00(t)/p20(t) > 0 for t ∈ [a,b]. Let s2m < s0m + 2, s2m ≤ s1m + 2, m = 0,1, that is, we consider the case of so-called regular singularities. Operators with irregular singularities possess different qualitative properties and require different investigations. Since the solutions of (1.1) may have singularities at the endpoints of t...
